The Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation receives 1.7 million
The United States Department of Commerce through the Economic Development Administration awards 1.7 million to the Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation for Business Incubator in Downtown Fresno. This EDA investment will fund the renovation and expansion of a commercial building to serve as a one-stop shop for Fresno's designated enterprise zone and the Fresno County region. The incubator will continue the work of our organization in providing technical assistance and micro loans to entrepreneurs, and add on-site state-of-the-art technology resources and office space to act as a catalyst for target industries such as Internet web design, graphic design and custom manufacturing. "This grant will create a great impact in economic development and in the lives of many entrepreneurs in the City of Fresno and surrounding areas" said Dora Westerlund, President & CEO.
Just a reminder.......
If you own a business within a redevelopment project area, there are funds ear-marked to help you renovate the outside of your business. Whether you own the building or you are a tenant, the Storefront Improvement Program can transform the outside of your business.& nbsp; Call David Martin (559) 621-7630, project manager at the Redevelopment Agency for more details.
